The Venice Urban Forest volunteers are always very busy reclaiming areas once embedded with trash and debris. The habitat is now ready for more plantings of native understory and ground covers, as well as preparation for a Scrub Jay habitat.
The thousands of plantings so far are leading to a wonderful return to nature in the corridor from Venice Avenue under the bridge towards Center Road.
All of this has been accomplished due to the cooperation of dozens of volunteers, wonderful local groups that volunteer from the community, a tireless Volunteer Board and Project Manager, all of whom have put so much effort into the project for the Venice Community to enjoy.
And we cannot forget the Foundation, City and County, as well as donors from the community who are helping to achieve something amazing!
